1. Agreement to these Terms

By accessing majedalmoqbeli.com (the “Site”) or submitting a project request, consultation booking, or other inquiry, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or its forms.

These Terms are between you and Majed Al-Moqbeli (“I”, “me”, “my”).

2. Who I am and what this Site covers

I am an independent software engineer and technical consultant. Through this Site I present my work and experience, and I receive inquiries related to services such as:

  • Android application development

  • Website and web application development

  • Backend systems and APIs

  • Technical consulting and architecture guidance

  • Code review

  • Team building and mentoring

Browsing the Site does not create an employment, partnership, or agency relationship.

3. Website content

All text, design, branding, articles, case studies, code samples, and portfolio materials on the Site are owned by me or used with permission from the relevant client or rights holder.

You may view the Site for personal or internal business evaluation. You may not copy, scrape, republish, resell, or commercially reuse Site content without my prior written consent.

4. Estimates, pricing, and timelines

Any price range, duration, scope outline, or “what you get” information on the Site or in an initial reply is an estimate for planning only.

Estimates are not a quote, offer, or binding contract. Scope, fees, milestones, and delivery dates become binding only when both parties sign a written service agreement (or accept a written proposal that clearly states it is binding).

5. Project requests

When you submit a project brief, you confirm that:

  • the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge

  • you have authority to discuss the project on behalf of yourself or your organization

  • you will not submit unlawful, infringing, or confidential third-party material without permission

Submitting a request does not guarantee that I will accept the project. I may decline, propose a different scope, or request more information.

6. Consultations

Consultations are for guidance, assessment, and planning. Advice given in a consultation is professional opinion based on the information available at the time.

A consultation does not create an obligation to build software, join a team, or continue engagement unless a separate written agreement says so.

Consultation advice is not a substitute for formal audits, certifications, legal advice, or guarantees of business or technical outcomes.

7. Paid work and deliverables

Paid services are governed by the written agreement for that engagement. That agreement typically covers scope, fees, payment schedule, revisions, acceptance, timelines, confidentiality, and intellectual property.

If there is a conflict between these website Terms and a signed project/consultation agreement, the signed agreement controls for that engagement.

8. Client responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • providing timely feedback, access, and materials needed for the work

  • ensuring you have rights to any assets, accounts, or content you provide

  • decisions you make based on advice or deliverables

  • compliance with laws applicable to your product, market, and users

Delays on your side may affect timelines and fees as stated in the written agreement.

9. Intellectual property of project work

Unless a written agreement says otherwise:

  • pre-existing tools, libraries, templates, and know-how I bring to a project remain mine

  • custom deliverables created specifically for you under a paid agreement are handled as defined in that agreement (commonly assigned or licensed to you after full payment)

  • third-party open-source and commercial components remain under their own licenses

I may request written permission before publicly showcasing your project in my portfolio. I will not disclose confidential client details without permission.

10. Confidentiality

Both parties should treat non-public business, technical, and personal information shared for evaluation or delivery as confidential, and use it only for that purpose, except where disclosure is required by law or the information is already public through no fault of the receiving party.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site, including by:

  • attempting unauthorized access to systems or data

  • submitting malware, spam, or abusive content

  • impersonating another person or misrepresenting your authority

  • using the Site in any way that violates applicable law

I may suspend access or ignore submissions that appear abusive or fraudulent.

12. Third-party services

The Site and my delivery workflow may rely on third-party providers (for example hosting, email, analytics, or development tools). Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. I am not responsible for outages or failures outside my reasonable control.

13. Disclaimer

The Site is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that website content alone is sufficient to make final business or technical decisions without further discussion and a written agreement.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from your use of the Site, forms, estimates, or free informational content.

For paid engagements, liability limits and remedies are defined in the written agreement for that engagement.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold me harmless from claims arising from materials you supply, products you release, or your misuse of the Site, except to the extent caused by my willful misconduct.

16. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date on this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Yemen, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless a signed agreement specifies a different governing law for a particular engagement.

We will first try to resolve disputes amicably in good faith.
